With the average cost of a 4-year college being $38,496 for in-state students and $54,183 for out-of-state students, according to the Education Data Initiative, college degrees are becoming harder and harder to afford.

Even though college degrees are necessary for several professions such as for doctors or lawyers, they aren’t required for everything. Many companies now value experience over a college degree and are changing their policies to attract better candidates.
